PLEXIGLASS ACRYLIC PRINT

Heavily inspired by tattoo patterns and coming of age romance shows along with my personal experiences, this piece depicts a seemingly random layer of swirls in black and red ink; however, as the viewer takes a closer look, faces can be spotted among the curves. Identity and attraction can deeply intertwine, especially when novel, so often, one can feel at a loss or with a confusion of identity because of sexuality or experimentation when moving through life. This piece allowed me to experiment with plexiglass etching and composition, as well as to explore my own identity. I experimented with other mediums such as sewing and tattooing with pen as shown below.
